Welcome to RiviaCare for Business! This agreement outlines the terms for your company (“Business Member,” “you”) enrolling your employees (“Individual Members”) in the RiviaCare healthcare membership program. We’re excited to help you provide top-notch healthcare for your team.
1. About RiviaCare
RiviaCare is operated by Rivia Technologies Ltd, a Ghanaian company wholly owned by Rivia Technologies Inc (Delaware, US), which manages the membership program and technology (RiviaOS). Rivia Technologies Ltd and Inc are not licensed healthcare providers and do not deliver healthcare services.
All healthcare services are provided exclusively by Rivia Clinic Ltd, licensed by Ghana’s Health Facilities Regulatory Agency, and its clinical partners. Any reference to “Rivia” as a healthcare provider means Rivia Clinic Ltd and its partners only.
2. Membership Overview
By enrolling as a Business Member, you provide your employees and their dependents (if included) access to RiviaCare’s healthcare membership. Key details:
- Membership Term: 12 months, automatically renewing unless canceled with 30 days’ notice.
- Coverage Split: 50% outpatient, 30% inpatient, 20% surgery (see Plan Guide at care.riviaco.com for details).
- Dependents: Included per plan terms (check Plan Guide for specifics).
- Plan Pricing: Based on the number of employees and selected plans (e.g., GHS 400/year per person for basic plans).
3. What Your Employees Get
Each enrolled employee (and their dependents, if included) receives:
- Doctor consultations (virtual and in-person)
- Lab tests, diagnostics, and medications
- Hospital admissions and surgeries (per plan limits)

4. Payment Terms
- Total Fee: Calculated as plan price × number of employees.
- Payment Methods: Bank transfer or Mobile Money.
- Due Date: Within 7 days of invoice. Membership activates once payment clears.
- Partial-Year Enrollments: Pro-rated invoices issued for mid-term additions.
5. Co-pay Policy
If an employee exceeds their annual coverage, additional fees are billed as agreed:
- Company pays 100%, or
- Employee pays 100%, or
- Split (e.g., Company 50% / Employee 50%).

6. What Rivia Provides
- Rivia Technologies Ltd: Manages the RiviaCare program, billing, and RiviaOS technology for seamless care coordination.
- Rivia Clinic Ltd: Delivers healthcare through its clinics, virtual care team, and over 50 vetted clinical partners.
- Access: Employees connect with doctors via phone, WhatsApp, or in-person visits.
- Unified Health Record: RiviaOS ensures continuous care across facilities.
- Real-time Dashboard: Track employee usage and remaining balances.
7. Your Responsibilities
- Provide an accurate list of enrolled employees and update us within 5 working days of changes (e.g., new hires, terminations).
- Make payments on time to avoid service suspension.
- Encourage employees to start care with Rivia’s virtual team or at a Rivia facility, except in emergencies.
8. Important Notes
- Not Insurance: RiviaCare is a prepaid membership, not health insurance. We don’t reimburse costs from non-network providers unless referred by us.
- Employee Privacy: We protect employee health data from employers, sharing only de-identified, aggregated usage reports, per our Privacy Policy.
- Data Use: We may use de-identified data for analytics and R&D to improve services, complying with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
- Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for events beyond their control (e.g., natural disasters).
- Termination: Either party may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice. No refunds for unused time.
- Additional Policies: Individual Members are subject to our Terms of Service, Exclusions Policy, and Privacy Policy at care.riviaco.com/legal.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by Ghanaian law. Disputes will be resolved in good faith or through arbitration at the Ghana Arbitration Centre if needed.
